Young people need support to navigate mental health challenges
Our Youth Mental Health First Aid program trains adults and peers to recognize the signs of mental health crises and provide immediate support, ensuring youth have access to early intervention and care.
The course involves two hours of self-lead virtual training a day prior to six hours of in-person instruction. Connect with other trainees, share resources and advice to help support the youth in their communities.
After the course, trainees will be able to recognize signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges, understand how to interact with an individual in crisis, and connect them with proper help.
