Fostering Trauma-Aware and Empathetic Schools to Support Refugees, Immigrants, Asylum Seekers, and Undocumented Students

This workshop aims to equip educators, school administrators, counselors, and support staff with the knowledge and skills needed to create trauma-aware and empathetic learning environments for students who are refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers, and undocumented individuals. Participants will explore strategies for understanding and addressing trauma, fostering empathy, promoting inclusivity, supportive school policies, and providing targeted support to help these students thrive academically and emotionally.
